Having lived in an apartment or condo more of my life, I can say the worst is that the neighbors complaining of noise from your home theater or stereo system. For purposes of this section, the term "House" will also include condominiums and "home theater system" also includes the system stereo for playing CDs. Here are some tips I've learned over the years to minimize the sound to escape from his apartment that cause the neighbors to complain.
Before proceeding, unless there is an enormous amount of money, there is basically no such thing as sound proof a room in an apartment. Yes, you can do, but the cost will be the roof. The advice I'll give is to try to minimize the number of complaints with their neighbors. Some easy common sense advice before you begin. I want to meet someone living just above or below you or shares a common wall with you, give them your phone number and just tell them in a friendly way, if you have a problem with your sound system, just to give you a call. Thus, at least, you may be able to mitigate the problem internally before it escalates to a higher level. I would not try to play loud music / movies before 11:00 am and after 8:00 pm, even if your property policy is at 10:00 am and 10:00 pm, and listen to 5.1 as wireless headphones Pioneer SE-DIR800C Dolby Digital 5.1 Wireless Headphones during the other times.
The main problem is going to have with its neighbors is the subwoofer. The easiest solution is to be in an apartment on the first floor as that at least gets rid of the people below complain. Otherwise, even with that, I buy both an insulation and Mason Riser Auralex Gramma Super "W" pads rubber. The Gramma isolation elevator is basically a platform to place the subwoofer in that somehow provides a sound insulation and improves the tone of the subwoofer without that seems artificial. In short, helps rid of any subwoofer boom do not want. Mason Super "W" rubber pads are a rubber mat 2 "square modules 3 / 4 inches high, separated by dense network that can utilize the entire carpet and / or modules outside of court to put the subwoofer on. The way I created my subwoofer is the subwoofer is on the top of the elevator Gramma isolation that is above the Super Mason "W" Mat is on the floor of my carpet. I have the subwoofer back about 14 to 16 "from back wall and side of the subwoofer also 14-16" from the side wall. I have the subwoofer set in isolation so Riser your grill is directly on the edge of the elevator. The width of the subwoofer is focused on lifting of isolation. I also recommend if you live in an apartment to try satellite speakers and a powerful receiver. I have a great Orb Audio Mod 1 5.1 speakers and subwoofer set that the love that seems to play loud without being heard shattering. I found that the more powerful is its recipient, the softer you can set the actual volume and it will sound so loud for you, but not to carry out stronger in the room.
In regards to the word, my advice is not to be his deputy or together to a wall, but a couple of inches away and as far away from the ceiling and the floor can be anywhere around 28 "to 56" more or less flat, since the bottom of the speaker. Nor would the walls I corner. You may also want to experiment and cut them in Mason "W" square modules.
Finally, just use common sense. Keep windows closed when you play your home theater system. Best times to play things stronger during the week 11 am-5: 00 pm, when people are in work and weekends 12:00-5:00. When playing DVDs be aware that movies with gunfire and explosions tend to play stronger then the films of Woody Allen and set your volume accordingly! Good luck. You probably still receives complaints, but the amount should be reduced a bit!

Best Stereo Shotgun / boom microphone for under $ 350?

I do not think there is a stereo shotgun microphone boom. They said the same source and receiving the same audio. This kind of clears the factor stereo. You will find "stereo" microphone on things like home video cameras, but these are only 2 microphones integrated in the same case. Once again, the stereo effect is very minimal. You really need 2 Mic, properly spaced and mixed for stereo sound.
